10/24-10/28 Devo Two

This video is the second devotional for the week of October 24 through October 28. Joni Eareckson Tada is a mouth-painter, singer, writer, disability activist, and a quadriplegic. But how did she get here? What left her paralyzed? And how did she develop a faith in Christ and a passion to serve those in need? In this video, Joni opens up to share with you her life testimony—from her childhood, to her diving accident, to her faith in Jesus and His plans. What do you think?

  1. I have heard Joni's story before, my daughter has worked at her camp over the summer however this video has made me appreciate Joni's testimony the most. I truly believe and identify with that last statement she made about the splash over of heaven being only seen in the splash over of hell. I have attempted to communicate that same message to others, but she worded it so wonderfully with her own experience. Very true! Enjoyed that one. I will watch the end a second time.

  2. I like how Joni gives testimony to understanding God better by understanding the context of His scripture. She came to the realization that God's promise that nothing would harm her went far deeper than physical pain or injury. Joni appears to have made a significant spiritual impact in others that likely would not be the same without her experience with quadriplegia. She recognizes that God protects what matters most in eternity, her soul. A christian's life will not be perfect or easy, but God's watching out for our souls.

  3. Oh my goodness, what a powerful testimony. I have not heard of Joni and am overwhelmed by her story. To be grateful, to feel blessed, to know and expect suffering in this life is where I need to be. To rely wholly on God's grace and mercy as Joni was forced to do is truly an amazing daily life lesson.
