and his bio is below. I've known Rene since College. We both went to San Jose State University. We have ministered together on a number of occasions for different Christian Conferences. In this video, he compares feeling alone with God's presence. What do you think?

I enjoyed his illustration comparing the sound waves always being around the deaf woman to God's presence always being around us. It is often tempting to believe that if we could just obtain more friends, more success, more things in our lives, then we would feel fulfilled. God's presence does not run dry and is a solid foundation worth building our lives around.
I felt this was a good reminder for all of us that His faithfulness and reliability never wanes. Sometime we confuse the "stuff" with happiness. But that doesn't bring about Joy.
The quotes from Elvis, Hitchcock and Einstein were excellent reminders that fame and/or money cannot replace true friendship and human connection. I was reminded that even in ancient times, Aristotle and Plato believed that man's natural state was within a community. It is so easy to forget to reach out to friends when we need to, and its easy to put off helping friends, or family when they need us.
