  1. I appreciate this devo so much! I think that the biggest gift we can give to our students is modeling how to navigate life when it is difficult. To talk about the challenges and how our faith in God gives us peace even when around us is swirling! How do we do that and mean that, show that and not just fake that it is "all good". They can tell when we are not being authentic.

  2. I am totally guilty of not being still and filling my time with "things to do"... it is so vital to our spiritual well-being to stop, reflect, and re-focus to find my peace in Christ.

  3. This is wonderful, so great to have her share this. It's important for us to keep it very real for our students, since life is hard and it's important we create a safe space for our students. I love when she talked about being okay with the hard things in life and allowing ourselves to work through those things so we reach ultimate peace. It's a great reminder to remember that if we aren't coping and working through those hard things how are we to expect that from our students. God wants us to take the hard and truly learn from it.

  4. May God calm our hearts and minds in the midst of all our storms. I can't remember ever having a balance in my life. It is a constant challenge for me. Thank you, Jen, for reminding us to be mindful and not afraid of the places in our lives that can help us grow. And for reminding us that God is with us and that there is no cause for fear.

  5. I have had a lot of difficult times in my life and have to be careful when I share with students not to overwhelm them. There is nothing like hearing from you teachers how they overcame difficulties or how they are still working through them.
