8/20/18-8/25/18 Devo One - Introduction

This is the first devotional for the week of August 20-25. It's an introduction to the online devotions for 2018-19. I've put notes below so you can follow along. I hope you have many meaningful moments as you participate in these devotions. ~ Reggie

Notes with this video:
* New 2018-2019 online Conservatory Devotions.
* Troy and Mark would like everyone to participate in devotions twice a week, but because not everyone can make the live devotions, we offer these online as well.
* I will post two devotions per week on Monday, so you can enjoy them when you have time.
* They will be either video recordings of the Monday/Wednesday High School Devotions in the Theater by High School Faculty or video recordings of Conservatory Faculty. Occasionally, someone will post a written devotional instead of a video.
* To complete the devotional requirement, all you have to do is watch the 3 to 6 minute video at conservatorydevotions.blogspot.com and put a comment under it. The comment should be at least 3 sentences explaining what stood out to you and what you think about it.
* You get Bible credit for doing these devotions (CBU’s). Each one is worth 15 minutes. 3 hours are worth half of a unit and 6 hours counts as one unit.
* Troy’s letter in July, “Reshape and transform our Conservatory Culture,” especially in communication and teamwork. Part of this is getting to know one another.
* I will be asking you personally if you could give a devotional yourself. It could be sharing a favorite verse or song, giving your testimony, sharing an encouraging experience, or even sharing a meaningful devotion you’ve read recently.
* Hebrews 10:22 “Draw Near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith.”
* Looking forward to seeing us all get stronger in our faith because of these devotions.

  1. Thanks Reggie for so succinctly letting us know what is expected and how this may benefit us as teachers who are not alway able to attend live devotions.

  4. Thanks for facilitating this, Reggie! I love the verse you shared with us. Sometimes we forget that our strength comes from Him and Him alone! When we remember to turn to Him in everything, He promises to provide our every need.
