4/30-5/4 Devo Two

This is the second devotional for the week of April 30-May 4. This devotional takes a look at some Michigan State University students asking them, "Do you read the Bible?" I'm pretty sure if you're watching this you read the Bible. What do you think about these responses and perhaps answer how often you read the Bible. What do you think? Leave a comment below.

  1. Very interesting and totally expected. Our culture at large is growing more and more secular and college campuses, public ones are dismally lacking in Christian culture, acceptance of Jesus, and professors have a rep of tearing the whole belief system down. I am saddened but not surprised by the comments. Every time the two Christian girls spoke, tho, I got a smile on my face and thought, Praise the Lord!

  2. It's sad to see ( sort expected) our nation is in declining of Christianity. Even as a Christian sometime we don't read Bible as much as we should with our busy daily schedule. Like practicing an instrument, we need to do it everyday to keep up our spirit in christ.

  3. What else can we expect when the educational system is devised and promoted by Atheists. This reminds me of a song by Peter, Paul, and Mary "Where have all the Flowers Gone" in which the refrain is
    When will they ever learn?
    When will they ever learn?
I heard that in Russia they requested the Russian Orthodox Church to began a program of teaching Christian Ethics into the education system because the people's Godlessness had caused an untold myriad of problems for society that communism could never solve? I also heard of a choir from Washington that performed in Red Square in Moscow. They then tried to sing in Washington in a park and were told to leave! because they were not allowed to sing religious songs!

  4. It seems that more and more young people have no Biblical literacy, even at VCS! It used to be that one could assume a certain amount Bible knowledge from the general public. That's not the case anymore. Our general society is becoming more and more secular.
