This is the first devotional for the week of March 5 to March 8. We hear anywhere from 10 to 200 lies a day. And although we’ve spent
much of our history coming up with ways to detect these lies by tracking
physiological changes in their tellers, these methods have proved
unreliable. Is there a more direct approach? Noah Zandan uses some
famous examples of lying to illustrate how we might use communications

This is crazy! And the examples are things you hear every day! Very interesting analysis and real life samples. Definitely makes one ponder how many times do I employ these same tactics and lie? Yikes! Very uncomfortable Ted Talk but also a great one!
ReplyDeleteThis brings up very disturbing realities of our fallen nature to lie even in an unconscious way. We hear about bald face lies or white lies but do they not all boil down to the same thing? I have known individuals who habitually lied to the point that they become self deluded and started to believe themselves the lies they were telling others!
ReplyDeleteA helpful video. Lying is big problem in our society. Like Melissa indicates, it is what we hear every day. I feel challenged to watch myself more for any temptations to not tell the truth.
