3/5-3/8 Devo Two

This is the second devotional for the week of March 5 to March 8. We continue to look at truth and lies. Using three iPhones like magical props, Marco Tempest spins a clever, surprisingly heartfelt meditation on truth and lies, art and emotion.. What do you think?

  1. Wonderful! Hilarious that he proposes a magician is the only honest profession. :) This is a great follow up from Devo One of this week. This was a lot harder to apply to my life, probably because it was just so transfixing and moved fast. Its a subject that most do not want to discuss and makes us uncomfortable so I am pleased that it was chosen for a topic. Thank you!

  2. Very clever. Deception, lie, imagination, truth. Which one is which????

  3. Brilliant demonstration with the iphones. He brought up several points that can be pondered upon. However, one thing I found disturbing was the viewpoint that deception can be thought of in positive terms. Perhaps because of our fallen nature, self deception is an easy way out rather than facing the much harder aspect of acknowledging our moral weaknesses in an honest way that God does.

  4. The idea that art and music are deception is challenging. It seems to me that it would be better to say that they are human creations that require a shift in perspective, an understanding of the art form and the ability to block out distractions. Music a lie; I don't think so.
