This is the first devotional for the week of February 10-15. This video is a devotional about being generous, compassionate, and kind. The world is watching and we are examples. It is by the pastor of Twin Lakes Church in Aptos, Rene Schlaepfer. It is a discussion starter for a small group Bible study called Richer Life. A clip by Francis Chan is included at the end. May these devotions be encouraging and inspiring for you. Watch this video and let us know what you think by leaving a few sentences as comment below the post. 1. Fascinating topic! Right up my alley. :) The survival alone of Christianity as a faith was remarkable, let alone the adoption of it as the official religion of the Roman Empire. What a great story reminding us of how our lives should reflect Jesus and how people should see our light without knowing our faith. I love practical faith with giving and I love "you can't love without giving".

  2. What a great topic. Generous, Compassionate and Kindness are universal topics throughout mankind. Learning about the history of Christianity and hearing about Roman background was fascinating. Hearing about how the prisoners were brought food night after night. His determination to find out who blessed them was unstoppable. He found out they were christians, how amazing was that! such a sweet story, thank you for sharing.
