What a wonderful devotional, I truly loved what he had to say. As humans it's natural to complain, it's not always right but sometimes it happens. I love that he spoke of Joy and living for Joy instead of negativity, we do live in a world of negativity and sadness, so it's so important to clutch to the Lord and lean on him amongst this scary world. JOY is from the Lord, and to have that in this world is so important and wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSeveral years ago, I found myself joy-less. My burdens had become so heavy, and my life felt as if it was a constant battle. I had to make a conscious effort, over the course of many months, to change my outlook and go out of my way to find joy. Little by little, it began to return. It's still a struggle for me, but recognizing this about myself has helped keep me in Christ's Joy.
ReplyDeleteJoy can sometimes be so elusive in our lives. I marvel at people I know that can keep a joyful spirit even when facing such daunting challenges. I have a friend who has Lou Gehrig's disease and throughout her illness, she has continually inspired me to be a better person. The same goes for my mother-in-law. I pray that all of us can achieve that true joy that only comes from the knowledge that we are saved and that we have the promise of eternal life. This is a great devotional to center us on what is important.
ReplyDeleteIt's so important to remember the joy of life and to be thankful for the small things. I like to think that with every challenge it's another opportunity to trust in the Lord.
