11/4/19-11/8/19 Devo One - Sean McDowell
This is the first devotional for the week of November 4-8. This
video will introduce you to our speaker this Friday during Chapel, Sean McDowell. Sean is the son of Josh McDowell who wrote the book Evidence That Demands a Verdict. Both of them are apologists and the theme this Friday is Truth. May these
devotions be encouraging and inspiring for you. Watch this
video and let us know what you
think by leaving a few sentences as comment below the post. The comments
are what give you credit.

Loved hearing about this man's mission. So amazing he is coming to speak to the school. What a wonderful experience for the staff and students. It was fascinating to hear him talk about how he has studied Apologetics and what they has meant to him in his life. Hearing him say how important it was to have a mentor, someone to confide in and shadow. Someone you look up too. It's true you should have someone to confide it and share with.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest lesson I took away from this interview is the fact that Christians cannot shelter themselves from those who do not believe. Relationships with others, outside of your own faith, are incredibly important. Otherwise, how can we expect to stay current and relevant with those around us? This is part of our calling.
ReplyDeleteuuugh, my comment was just erased, I'm assuming because of my bad internet. I loved this devotional, I often have students ask me questions and I need to get more solid on specific verses from the bible that can help me answer them. I also think we are called to be mentors to our students but that we shouldn't expect to connect with all of them.
ReplyDeleteA very good devotional. An amazing mission and so glad students could hear him speak.
