  1. a lot of materials were presented in this talk but what stuck in my mind was the emphasis on maintaining warmth in the family and how this helps in preventing children from seeking intimacy inappropriately in situations which are not designed by God at such a young age. Also the point of having time and not being so busy that you sacrifice the family.

  2. This was absolutely wonderful but very long! I was not raised in a Christian household and I loved how transparent he was with he and his wife making changes to break dysfunction, and how being like a child is so important in coming to Jesus, and I totally agree with the need for affection and how many look in the wrong places for it. Very telling story about the child, heart breaking. :(

  3. We intend to take things for granted and neglected our love one with our busy life. That could cost children or spouse look into different direction for attention. It's important for us to pray, follow God's direction daily

  4. Breaking the chains of family dysfunction and being the transformational generation is what I have been working on most of my adult life. Like Melissa, I did not grow up in a Christian home; I was the first person in my extended family to become a Christian. One of the reasons I became a believer was that I really disliked my family life growing up. There had to be a better way. Thank God for the change. It has been difficult to break the massive chains that imprisoned my family and my wife's family. It's hard, but worth the effort!
