12/11-12/15 Devo Two
This video is the second devotional for the week of December 11
through December 15. Everyone is pursuing something, whether we realize it or not. The world
promises fulfillment in so many ways, yet Jesus is the only One who can
make good on that promise. When we stop seeking life in other places and
start seeking Christ, He gives us life to the full. Some of the verses referenced in this video are Matthew 16:25 and Galatians 2:20. Troy Black put together this inspirational video. What

Amen! God does want us to lead a life of fulfillment. He provides so many ways to find joy and happiness and it is sad to me when nonChristians think that they have to give up so much to lead a Christian life. Thats ridiculous. The real sacrifice is not leading a life where you have peace, purpose, abundant love and eternal life.
ReplyDeleteWithout Jesus in the picture, trying to find fulfillment through the lens of sensory saturation leads ultimately to disappointment. I like the passage in Ecclesiastes 1:8 which says
ReplyDelete"All things are wearisome; man is not able to tell it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor is the ear with hearing." ASB
Everlasting fulfillment requires a mindset devoted to him rather than inwards towards ourselves.
Our whole culture is based around the success myth. We need to keep perspective about our lives and the Lord.
