11/20-11/21 Devo One

This Video is the only devotional for the week of November 20 through November 21. It is a devotional by Ken Richardson, who teaches art in both junior high and high school at VCS. The topic is about the need to maintain our Christian walk. He uses his truck as an example. What do you think? Leave a comment.

  1. So fun to see Ken in a different environment! Fun to see him with his hobby - restoring his truck! I like the analogy about how as we go along, there are challenges and we need help from others. This is true in our spiritual life too. We have life troubles, challenges, and seek help from God and from our brothers and sisters to keep on walking on our faith journey. Thanks, Ken!

  2. Oh my gosh!!! This was so awesome. Ken, you are great. :) The amount of effort, work, time, money, patience that you have put into your truck is a crack up, especially for someone who would trade that old truck in so fast!!! It was a perfect analogy to remind me how much more effort I need to make in maintaining my spiritual walk. Thank you!

  3. Maintenance is harder for both daily and spiritual life. We need to pray often and ask God’s guidance often which we humans don’t do very often with our busy daily schedule. Its awesome to work on a project with others. Solving problems with family member is best way of spending time together not only solving current problems but also teaching kids finding ways for future difficulties and team work.

  4. Really enjoyed seeing Ken in such a laid back informal environment working on his truck. The analogies of working on the truck and our Christian walk is apt especially as it relates to sanctification. I can really feel an affinity to that old truck as it mirrors, to a certain extent, to this old tent of mine!!

  5. What a creative idea for a devotional! I used to do my own auto mechanics, but have given it up to spare my back and neck. We need to maintain our faith like we do our vehicles and bodies.
