10/9-10/13 Devo Two

This video is the second devotional for the week of October 9 through October 13. This week we focus on HOPE and resting in the Lord. Both devotionals are songs to reflect on. This second one is a song called My Hope Is in You, made popular by Aaron Shust. In the last few weeks, we have seen tragedy after tragedy in our nation and in the world. Sometimes things don't go as we hope they would, but let us put our hope in the Lord. There's a peace that passes understanding only found in Christ. The lyrics are below. What do you think? Leave a comment.

Lyrics to My Hope Is in You

I meet with You and my soul sings out
As your word throws doubt far away
I sing to You and my heart cries
"Holy! Hallelujah, Father, You're near!"

My hope is in You, Lord
All the day long, I won't be shaken by drought or storm
A peace that passes understanding is my song
And I sing my hope is in You, Lord
I wait for You and my soul finds rest
In my selfishness, You show me grace

I worship You and my heart cries "Glory
Hallelujah, Father, You're here!"
My hope is in You, Lord
All the day long I won't be shaken by drought or storm
A peace that passes understanding is my song
And I sing my hope is in You, Lord

I will wait on You
You are my refuge
I will wait on You
You are my refuge

My hope is in You, Lord, all the day long
I won't be shaken by drought or storm
My hope is in You, Lord
All the day long I won't be shaken by drought or storm
A peace that passes understanding is my song
And I sing my hope is in You, Lord
My hope is in You, Lord, yeah
My hope is in You, Lord

  1. I love this song. I hear it on the radio often. But what a powerful video. It did not end as I thought it would. Peace that passes all understanding...

  2. I also love this song and have enjoyed it many times. I had never seen the video and now wish I hadnt! even though the video does not change the message of the song, in fact it makes it more meaningful, still, didn't care for watching it because I am more of the denial type.

  3. Powerful video because it shows that hope can transcend outward circumstance even when events turn tragic by losing a loved one. I thought for a moment that there was a subliminal message about not texting and driving but the victim was not the same person speaking by phone in the car.

  4. It is easy to lose hope. It's nice to have this encouragement.
