  1. What a insightful and poignant analogy. Taking the passage to the extremes helps us to see how we can honor God by asking for help and giving him the glory for it. Reminds us to not keep our devotion and dependence hidden but to confidently ask and receive.

  2. We cannot do it on our own! We need the Lord and other people to make it through life. The idea of staying open and being willing to receive from others and not stay in isolation. We cannot make fruit if we are not connected, we wither instead.
