11/28-12/2 Devo One

This video is the first devotional for the week of November 14 through November 18. In this video, called "If we could see inside each others' hearts," the focus is on truly caring for others. If we could take a moment, show empathy and feel with others, it could greatly touch those around us. If you could feel what others feel, would you treat them differently? What do you think?

  1. This was a beautifully made video and was a great reminder that we often do not see what is really happening to those around us. It is important to be sensitive the Holy Spirits leading so we can reach out to those hurting around us. As teachers, we have the ability to see their pain and reach out to them in a personal way. There is not a lot of people who see these highschoolers every other day for 85 minutes.

  2. You absolutely do treat people differently when you know what they are going through. I believe a speaker shared this in a chapel this year: "it's hard to hate someone when you know their story". I think it's easy to assume that people are doing fine based on outward behavior and to judge them harshly based on those circumstances, but as christians we should be making an effort to reach out and understand the people around us.
